    Thanks!

Yeah, leather sucks. seriously, it does. it smells good, it feels good (sort of), but in almost every other aspect its a con for me.
Also, I am a skinny bastard and upper support for me isn't great. also the side bolsters are so fat that my elbows always hit it.

Add to that the rattling and play that they have (Go European ). Which can't really be fixed, as they are joints and rollers, and mecahnisms that are pressed in etc.

The Recaro from the EVO wasn't my first choice. But it was a great price and i had to factor in mounting hardware, and my ridiculous obsession with this car despite my full time uni and part time work only made these seats the best choice for me.

Overall, I am very happy with the seats, and after a track day, full day cruise on saturday, a few hot days, a few short drives, the seats are better for me in nearly all aspects in comparison to the konigs.

They dont look as great, but the black matte plastic shape of the recaros and bucket shape spells sporty to me. also will have trouble with reclining as new seat sliding mechanism obviously doesn't have the rear access feature

Also fixed the airbag warning light with another resistor. The original one was the incorrect resistance.
So, while the workshop in the USA did some quality work, their slopiness in some areas was very notable, and uncool too.

Have a driveby video from Saturday's cruise too:

    Yesterday

Was meant to change the faulty HPA SHS COILOVERS, but courtesy of 2 companies i have the incorrect ones with me.

I instead, changed the dogbone mounts, and installed the cupra r lip that my missus got me for my birthday 4 months ago.

    And a little digression here:

Girlfriend had her Polo Gti crashed into by an off duty taxi driver (yes, they do drive badly as you had thought).
Polo, ruined: intercooler, LCA, shock guard, bumper.

So we found out we could hire a car and be reimbursed for the costs. The missus booked an audi a3, but they didn't have it when she went to pick it up.
So. They gave her an 2010 audi a4 1.8t

Merry Christmas Nd have a happy new year!

    ------------

    22nd January 2012

Converted all lugs, into studs. H&R Studs, cut to length.

Also got some neat looking nuts from USA. and Finally fitted:

Haha, will have to store them somewhere.

    The A4 is much refined.
Good ride quality (mainly from the high profile tyres)
Good noise insulation, but loud tyre noise.
All the switchgear is top notch, as is the materials and fit.
Seats are nice, and the steering wheel is a little thin in comparison to R32.

The 1.8T is a good engine, and very economical. The 8 speed auto gearbox is clunky at low speeds (it drops into first gear too easily, and jerks while still rolling at low speeds to accelerate). the 'S' mode transforms the car. In all other modes (manual included), the throttle response is very doughy. to the point of feeling numb. S mode sharpens this up to close to manual transmission response times and holds gears for longer, keeping the turbo on song, and the driver engaged. Quite impressive.
Brakes are not progressive, and are way too touchy. Quite annoying actually. But the pull well.

Boot space is also amazing. VERY deep and quite wide. With the option to fold down the rear seat backs (easily done too) it turns the car into bigger than Hatch carrying capacity, albeit without the height benefits.
